Well, i haven't lived in Wombwell all that long, but have ventured out into the town centre quite a few times, mainly to buy food for home. The street is lined with many little shops and not a bad little place for the essentials.

My only gripe seems to be the Co-op, it's always dead in there! everytime you go in, there's hardly anybody there, the place often looks shut, but isn't. rolleyes.gif it's also really expensive and doesn't really stock an awful lot. if it wasn't for having to buy baby food 'brand names', then i don't think i would ever go and shop in there again. Even then, they don't really have an awful lot or good selection of baby food either, not many flavours and hardly any variety really, but still, I have a little mouth that needs feeding! there are other places like Superdrug or the chemist that do baby food, but their selection isn't great either!

The Co-op though, i'm suprised it hasn't yet been shut down, or that branch being forced to close the amount of people that actually shop in there. Think everybody goes to Fultons Foods as it's much cheaper for known brands. That's were we shop mainly.

In the co-op they don't even have any tills open other than the Tobacco kiosk where everybody pays for their shopping, i say everybody, about 10 customers a day! it's a crazy place, never known a supermarket so dead, they would be best shutting it down and getting Morrisons or Tesco in there, someone like that. Whoever said the Co-op were cheap, must be shopping in somewhere like Marks and Spencers or harrods! lol laugh.gif

ok well was just having a rant!! anybody else think the Co-op is expensive, rubbish stock and is like a ghost town, or is that just me? blink.gif
